Albert Calabrese aka The Savannah Ape aka Yuen Hsiao Tieng was brought to some people's attention by an article written by Jeff Sharlet and published in GQ on 3 February 2014.
The URL says Men's Rights Activism: The Red Pill but the top banner reads "What Kind of Man Joins the Men's Rights Movement?" while the page title reads "Are You Man Enough for the Men's Rights Movement?"
The article talks about him wearing a shirt saying "Free Robert Maynard".
4 March 2015, roughly a year and a month afterward, Albert released a YouTube video called GQ and the Conference from the Mysterious Front Page Guy with the description From the perspective of "pedobear" below it.
5 Months later in August, 2 authors of A Voice For Men called him a pedophile during their criticism of Sharlet.
